Playing Catch-up!

My goal "in life" is to blog more! I'm pretty sure that no one reads this, but its therapeutic for me. We've had a really busy couple of weeks....

We closed on our sale and purchase of the houses on June 30th.. We got our keys at about 3:00 that afternoon, and we started moving immediately.

We have keys!!

I bought new furniture that night.. which is gorgeous.. but I don't have a picture of it yet to share with you... I love it. It makes me feel like a real wife and mommy to have grown up dining furniture. I want to cook more and have people over to eat all the time!

The boys (Randy, Kyle and Brennon) had the trailer and Uhaul unpacked by 2 am.. here is what it looked like the next morning...

Luckily my mom came down on Friday to help me get everything cleaned (Judy deep cleaned!) and put away! It is amazing how great it looks, but there is still a ton of work to be done. We already feel at home, and at ease about everything. I love having all the extra room, although most doors stay closed. I also love searching for paint colors and decorations for the rooms. I could spend a MILLION dollars decorating that house! I am starting my week off this morning, so I hope to get some stuff hanging on the walls.

I am having my first "event" at our house this weekend. I am having a baby shower for a best friend on Sunday. I'm super excited about having enough room for people!

We have had a few guests that I don't really like... meet Mr. Taranula

We also have lizards on the back porch, and TONS of skeeters!

We really enjoyed the Fourth of July at the new house. The back of our property backs up to a field, and it is the city limits. People popped fireworks all night, and Aniston LOVED it!

Here is a picture of Daddy and Aniston watching the fireworks out the back door. The skeeters were eating them alive and it got cool because a storm was blowing in.

Things I love about the new house: its clean and new, its quiet, its big, I have a window over the sink, my car fits very nicely in the garage, I have a connected master bathroom and a closet I can change clothes in, the sinks have great water pressure, the fans put off great air and they have remotes, we have recessed lighting, I have a formal living and dining room, and most of all, we have lots of bedrooms and room to grow.

Things Randy loves: the air conditioner only runs for about 5 minutes, the windows open and fold in to clean the outside, we have a solid concrete driveway, we have lots of room for him to build a shop, all the light bulbs are the "twisty energy efficient type", its all electric, it has a built in microwave, our fridge fit and our washer and dryer fit, the attic is HUGE and he can stand up in it, his riding lawn mower is fixed and its easy to mow, and most of all, he has his own office!

I'll keep you all updated and post more pictures just as soon as I get things more cleaned up and some more boxes unpacked.

Blessings & Love!
