Sweet Kirsten and I are volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club this spring and coaching a 4th, 5th and 6th grade girls volleyball team. It is probably the most fun thing I've done in years! We have a sweet group of girls and they are already making improvements. We have played 2 games so far and had 2 practices. The first game we lost 25-4 & 25-7, so it wasn't pretty. The second game we lost 25-22 & 25-23, so it was awesome! Out of the 11 girls we have, 8 have never set foot on a volleyball court. I love coaching the girls, and I love seeing the confidence they build and self-esteem the gain after they succeed. It is a great feeling. I really love getting to spend time with Kirsten!! She is an amazing girl & I look forward to seeing her each time! I can't wait until Aniston is that age, because I just hope she'll act more like her and less like me!!
I got Aniston a matching purple shirt, and Misty put "Lady Spikers" on it.. she is our "mascot/cheerleader". She looked so cute & loved feeling like one of the "bigger girls"!
