Like I said, Landrie Kay is now 5 months old. She is such a wonderful, pleasant, sweet, laid back, calm, beautiful, smiley, and sleeping baby! Her daddy calls her magnificent!
At 5 months, we don't go to the doctor, but I would guess that she weighs about 14 lbs or so. She is getting longer, and still has some chunk on her.

Anytime someone new is around and any time passes, they say.. "is she always this good?" and yes, she really is always that happy and calm. She only cries when she's hungry, and it's not a hard core scream.. More of a fussy whine! We were at a cook out at Bob and Gillis' house and when she started fussing and ready for a bottle, Holly said, "oh, I've never heard her cry!" it doesn't happen very often. Trust me, I'm not bragging, I don't know what we do to make this happen once, much less twice! We are SO blessed!
I've been working on the yard and flower beds a lot lately, and most of the time, she is with me. If the weather is nice, she is in her swing or bouncy seat, sitting In the shade. She will sit and look around, play with toys, tell me a story, sing with the birds, or nap in the breeze... For hours!

I have started putting bows and headbands in her hair more lately. Honestly, I've done this more lately because people can't tell if she's a boy or girl without one.
Oops!

I can't remember if I've posted this picture before or not, but it's just so cute.. I don't think you'll mind seeing it again if it's a repeat!

Landrie is wearing size 3 month or 3-6 months, depending on the brand. Honestly, most of the time, she is in a onesie or naked with a bib. She is constantly chewing and sucking on her hands so she is so slobbery! She is also hot natured like her mommy and sissy, so she gets sweaty easily! We've had a touch of some summer heat, and I've noticed her neck and arm pits get little heat bumps at times. Hold on L, you just wait... It'll get nasty! Can you put deodorant on a baby? He he...
This month has brought a new experience for us! Baby food! She has been taking cereal bottles at night for a while, but a fee weeks ago we started introducing the spoon.. First applesauce with cereal, then sweet potatoes, pears, green beans, bananas, and peaches. Her favorites are green beans and pears... Weird kid! Tonight she ate cereal, green beens and pears. Then she took a four ounce bottle!
Here she is a few nights ago. She's super messy, and hasn't quite figured out how to use her tongue. I also have to kick her sissy out of the room because she distracts her and all she does is smile and laugh.

After she eats her dinner, and takes a bath, she usually wants a bottle. She'll pass out and be asleep, usually by 9:30. She will sleep until 7:30 or 8:00 am. Today, she slept until 8:45. I'm pretty sure she would have slept longer but her sissy woke her up. She says she was awake, but I'm not so sure. Sissy forgets there is a monitor where I can hear what's going on! "just wake up sissy, you know you want to!"
One thing Landrie has started doing this month is sleeping on her stomach. DRIVES.ME.CRAZY! in fact, she doesn't sleep in her swing or bouncy seat very well any more because she can't flip over. As SOON as you lay her in her crib, she flips to her side, then a few minutes later, she's on her belly. She stays that way all night. Sometimes, her hiney is in the air, sometimes not.
We are still using cloth diapers, and I love it. Daddy probably doesn't, because I'll be honest, he washes out the poopy ones more than me. I do know he LOVES that we don't have any cost for diapers! And, thanks to a friend who gave me 6 cases of formula, we haven't bought formula in a month or so!
Here are a few more pictures we've taken recently...

She has also started doing this fake cough thing... It's hilarious! I'm pretty sure she was doing that here...

And bath time.. She still doesn't love it, but atleast she doesn't cry. She is all business. It's all about splashing and she has the most serious look on her face. Like, taking care of business and getting out.. As quick as possible!

We are having a blast spoiling our Lady L! She is absolutely such a joy, and an amazing blessing!
We love you, Landrie, to the moon and back!
