Tooth Fairy Time

We had an exciting surprise while we were at West Foundation's Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday night. Aniston lost her first tooth. She kinda freaked out when it came out, and thought it was a bad thing until we all started cheering and getting excited. She had a panic "OMG" look on her face! She tells it like this, "Well, uhm, I was eating a brownie, and uhm, it had a HARD nut in it, and uhm, when I bited down on it, my tooth went BAM! (claps) and falled right out!" I just glad she didn't swallow it. What's funny to me is that we had no idea. She has said for months (only because friends have lost teeth) that "my tooth is so loose". When we check it, not loose. Then she says nothing, and almost eats one. Now, the one next to it is "bendable" loose. She said it will probably come out "when she eats a cookie or sumpin."

We had our family pictures taken that afternoon, and I SO wish it would have happened before them. How cute is a little snaggle tooth "kindygartner"! Here are some pictures we snapped to capture the moment!

Minutes after the brownie incident....

She walked around like this for two days... showing everyone whether they wanted to see or not. I had to tell people why she was walking around with her mouth open like a big dork.

The itty bitty tiny baby toof!

One of the first things she asked was about her tooth fairy pillow. She has been waiting and waiting to use this. Uncle Britt and Aunt Patti gave this to her, along with the Kitty Cat Pajamas she wore until the were more like underwear they were so small) when she was much younger. It has been hanging on her door or bedpost the whole time. We call it one of her "specials". A "special" is a gift that was given to her by someone special that is to be taken VERY special care of. It is not a toy. We have only a few "specials". If friends come over, she is quick to point out the "do not touch specials".

She popped out of bed Friday morning to see what the Tooth Fairy left her.
She ended up with four quarters and some jelly beans.

I'm gonna have to have a talk with the tooth fairy though because when "she" put the jelly beans in that little pocket where the tooth was, "she" sure was noisy and almost woke up the toothless child! I hope "she" learned her lesson and will remove the tooth holding frog princess before trying to stuff noisy packaged items in its pocket.
