One Month Old

Landrie is officially a month old today! She had her check up Wednesday, and here are her stats:

Weight: 8 lbs 3 oz.
Length: 21"

She is really getting chunky and plumping up. It makes a nursing mommy feel so wonderful! So far her eyes are still blue, and hopefully they'll stay that way. She is doing really well in every area. She's eating every 2 to 3 hours during the day and she's sleeping great at night. Two nights last week she slept for 6 hours! I feed her about 10:30 or 11:00 then we hit the sack. When I hear her stir, I expect to look at the clock and it be about 2:30 or 3:00. When I woke up from a very heavy sleep, because I had to potty, I looked at the clock and it said 5:15.. My stomach sank and I instantly felt sick because I was so paranoid. I was obviously so relieved to see her peacefully sleeping and barely stirring. I was so proud of her and me! This happened two nights in a row, then we were back to our 4 hour schedule. Then, both Friday and Saturday she slept 7 hours at a time! I'm thrilled! Randy is SUPER excited that we're doing so well getting on a "sleep at night, awake during the day" schedule. When I go back to work in two weeks, he'll be here alone with her at night while I'm at work. I am SO anxious about this because I'm a little bit of a control freak, especially when it comes to my girls. Believe me, I know I'm so blessed to have a "baby daddy" that can be a "Mr Mom" anytime I need him to, but I still WANT to be the one to do it. Luckily, I know he CAN and he really does take great pride in being a great daddy and taking care of his babies! It takes a lot of the guilt away that I feel about working nights. Hopefully, someday, I'll be able to actually work days with the normal world.

This week Landrie has really shown us a glimpse of her budding personality. So far, she is very calm, sweet and laid back. I willed her to be like her daddy. Having another high maintenance and dramatic girl would be CRAZY. I think it would send Randy to Red River!

Landrie has really found her voice this week also. She'll let out a "ooh" or a "ahh" every now and then. She'll startle herself and it's cute. She's been lifting her head up a lot, and really looking around at lights and movement. She likes the fans and lights. She is also a swing baby, like her sister was! She stays in it a lot during the day and sleeps in it without it going at night.

We are really enjoying our time together, and I'll miss her lots here in a few weeks when she starts going to Misty's. Here is a new picture...
