Happy CHRISTmas Day Nine
Today, the thing about this season that makes us happy are the Christmas Lights! We all three LOVE them. Of course, Aniston really does. She oohs and awes and squeals at the sight of them... And, honestly we do too, just not as a shrill and glass breaking pitch. For the last several weeks I have been without a car (thanks Mr. Deer) and I've been having to pick Randy up from work every evening. So, several of those nights we have taken a detour and driven through neighborhoods to look at lights. Mostly the Country Club. The houses and lights are all so magnificent. We have several favorite houses and streets. My favorite thing is the houses that wrap trees. There are several I'm particularly fond of, but my all time favorite is the street that wraps the candy canes on the trees along the street. Embarrassingly, I think its Berkley. Randy likes the different colors and the LED lights. Aniston loves anything tacky and animated... the blowup yard ornaments, the blinking lights, the deer that move, it doesn't matter.. just bright and TACKY! We have had so much fun over the last several years looking at lights during Christmas. There is a house on Ross Creek, off Greg Road that has lights set to music. It is really cool and we have been several times. You just tune your car radio to the designated station and you hear the music in your car. It cycles over and over so you won't miss it. My favorite song is the one that starts of with Amazing Grace then fades into a jammin rock inspired number... They homeowners have set up a box in front to collect food for the food bank. I'm a fan. If you are in the area, go by. It lasts about 5 or 10 minutes!
