November 1st

I'm following the masses and going to blog about the things I'm the most thankful for, one for every day in November. I'm so very thankful for so much, and it sounded like a great idea.

Today I am thankful for my sweet husband, Randy. Today happens to be his 33rd Birthday! I am so blessed to be married to my best friend! This year marks 15 years of our friendship and 12 years that we've been "dating". And yes, we're still dating. I still get butterflies when he walks in the room, or I hear his truck pulling in the driveway. I love him more everyday, I miss him when we're apart, and I feel the best when I'm in his arms. As everyday and every experience we go through passes, I am so blessed to be beside someone that loves me and supports me!

I'm a lucky lady to have a husband as awesome as he is. I work nights, which causes me to miss out on a lot of the "normal" evenings in our house. We have very few sit-down dinners together, and I'm not always here to do the night routine. This constantly bothers be, and I cry, worry and stress about it constantly. I pray everyday that I'll get an opportunity to change this, sooner than later. In saying this, while I'm at work, daddy is Mr. Mom. He takes care of the routine here at home, and doesn't miss a beat! I struggled at first with everything not being done like "mommy does it". I finally had to realize, after some good advice from my mom, that "atleast he's doing it and doing it well, even if it's not my way." He also helps me around the house, a lot. Of course like any house, it's usually a mess, but he cleans the kitchen and does laundry, and that is amazing in my book!

I've never met or seen another man that is a better father than my husband. He has one daddy's girl and another on the way! He can and does anything we ask of him, and does a great job. He can put hair in ponytails, paint fingernails, cleans up throwup, reads books, dries tears, gives hugs and kisses, and heals boo-boos.

I'll never love another person like I love my Randy, and I'm so blessed to have him in my life. He's my best friend, soul mate, and my true life love. I'm forever thankful for him!
